About Us

About Us

Two families and their journey into creating An Enchanted Life.

What does Enchantment mean to you? We used to think it was a destination, but have discovered true enchantment is finding those special, magical moments in the everyday, the ordinary, the extraordinary, the tears, the mess, the beauty. It's finding your space, no matter where you are. Creating your magic in spite of circumstances. It isn't perfection, but yet is perfect when you find it, create it, feel it. It's glimpsing dreams, fleeting moments strung together like fairy lights that light your path. True Enchantment is the Magic YOU bring to life. It sustains you when just. can't. It helps you to fly when you just. can. We hope this peek into our journey inspires you to find your own Enchantment.

Pour yourself a cup of coffee, a hot cup of tea, get cozy and stay awhile. And most important, it's with a great sense of gratitude we say THANK YOU for joining us.

Sherri Carter, MS

Sherri's Virgo Sun and Sagittarius moon creates an interesting dichotomy of organized chaos. If you give her a cookie, she will need coffee to go with it, only to find out she's out of coffee. In the process of going to the store, she will come home with a variety of homeschooling and craft supplies for some upcoming lesson based on some picture she saw at some point, somewhere. Add in something bright and shiny, and she will follow that rabbit forever.

More about Sherri...

My days are filled with the laughter of my son, Eli (age 7), the sounds from the poultry yard and a never ending pile of laundry. I'm married to Milo- we met when I was 10 and he was 20. Little did we know then what life had in store for us much later in our lives! I'm also the best selling author of Live Your Intentions, The Power of Action, a powerful tool for positive change, manifesting intentions into reality. I'm a crunchy mama, living on a small hobby farm in the beautiful southwest region of the Ozarks in Missouri. We love our garden, we raise chickens (both for meat and eggs) and expanded our flock to include ducks to even raising our Thanksgiving turkey, all in our backyard. Our 2 dogs and 3 cats round out the critters we have. For homeschooling, I love aspects of Waldorf, creating a daily rhythm which works for us.

Angela McCoy

As the self exiled ruler of her native land due to her radical political views and strategically placed tattoos Angela currently finds herself in the Midwest planning her next move. Increasingly restless and full of wanderlust, Angela hears the call to explore. She's inspired by the oddity-and beauty-of life.

These inspirations are the basis for my upcoming children's book series. I juggle writing, painting and drinking coffee, or margaritas, depending on the time of day. I'm constantly working on new ideas and projects in search of fun. Pinterest has not helped this affliction. If I complete everything on my list I will run out of stuff by my 100th birthday.

Currently homeschooling my 3 children-  teens, son Lochlan and daughter Elka and my youngest son Finn (age 8)-everyday proves to be an adventure.

I cook a mean jambalaya. Having spent the better part of my childhood and teen years in Mandeville, Louisiana I brought the love for spicy food into the life of a boy from Ohio when we fell in love in a lingerie store.  He was hooked. We married quickly as if the cayenne had opened his eyes to a whole new world.
Excited about all the incredibly fun things in development at An Enchanted Life,  I am looking forward to bringing my love for creativity and fun together for you to also enjoy.
